Fabulous Fajitas ~ Venison Recipe

Tender venison strips cooked low and slow in the crockpot with peppers and onions. Wrap in warm tortillas and top with sour cream for a delicious wild game meal! With no gamey flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lbs venison steak sliced thinly
  • 2 T. olive oil
  • 2 T. lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon. ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
  • 1 large green pepper sliced
  • 1 large onion sliced

Instructions

  • Mix all seasonings together in the crockpot.
  • Add meat and mix well.
  • Cover and cook for 6 hours on low or 3 hours on high.
  • Add onion and pepper during the last one hour.
  • Serve with sour cream and salsa if desired.
