Place onion slices in crockpot. Cut roast into thick slices or chunks, and place over onions.
Sprinkle with ranch dressing mix, and spread cream of chicken soup over top. Pour water over all.
Place lid on crockpot, cook on LOW for 8-10 hours or until roast is tender.
Notes
You can use bear, deer, or antelope meat for this recipe.You can substitute cream of mushroom soup for the cream of chicken. You can also use celery or homemade gravy if desired. Add some potatoes around the roast for a complete meal!
