Forever Mom is a book about parenting adopted kids. Written by an adoptive mom of 10, it touches on the issues adoptive parents may face. But really, I think it is a great book for every parent!
I really enjoyed this book from the first page! I have followed Mary Ostyn’s blog for awhile, and was excited to see her newest book, and to get a chance to read it. It is chock-full of real-life stories, honesty and encouragement. Hope for those impossible situations, and empathy for the hard days. It made me really examine my own parenting and consider the reason behind the behaviors that my kids display. I would recommend this book to any mom. It has lots of interesting information. One thing that really intrigued me was the brain development in regard to bonding. I don’t have time to discuss it at length, but suffice tit to say that early bonding in a baby’s life is essential to good relationships later in life.
