10 awesome cowboy snacks

1) Scotch eggs. Delicious, high-protein snack to give you energy while working cattle. Very easy to make and they freeze beautifully.

2) Cinnamon Rolls Tried and true snack for hungry cowboys! Who doesn't like a warm, sweet roll?! I make these often. They are everyone's favorite branding snack, by far.

3) Burritos. Breakfast burritos are always welcome, especially if your lunch will be late. Gives the cowboys a nice shot of protein and carbs for some lasting energy. Check out this recipe from Money Saving Mom: Freezer friendly Breakfast Burritos. (tip: you can reheat them in an electric roaster or crockpot. Just give them plenty of time to reheat and plan to rotate them once during heating.)

4) Ham & egg biscuits. These look so good! Make them the night before and reheat Or even the same morning shouldn't take too long.

5) Homemade Granola bars. Make ahead, super easy and filling!

6) Coffee Cake. I love a good coffee cake, don't you? With a cup of hot black coffee...

7) Easy Donuts These go fast - make twice as many as you think you will need! It is the only snack food that I have actually run out of! Now I know. Now I make at least two per person. They are addictive!

8) Whoopie Pies. Whoopie pies were a common treat in our house when I was a kid. We always made the chocolate kind, but my kids love these pumpkin chocolate chip whoopie pies.

9) Hand Pies. These peach hand pies from Shugary Sweets looks delicious!

10) Pigs in a blanket. Try these cinnamon roll pigs-in-a-blanket  for a fun twist on a classic!
