Summer afternoon.

wyoming prairie

Yesterday I followed my husband out through the prairie... through fields of summer grass roasting in the sun, and smelling warm and sweet. The birds darted and swooped over the prairie, the clouds drifted overhead and the sun shone warmly down.

One of the wells needed fixing, and my man was there to get 'er done... except the well-truck wouldn't start, so Cliff hooked a chain to his truck, and I pulled the well-truck a little bit till it started. 🙂
imageimageI snapped a few pics with my cell phone, since it was all I had with me.
I sat in the hot sun and enjoyed the warm wind on my face, and pondered life. You know - LIFE. All the things that happen to us - all the things we do to others... what really matters and why do we get so caught up in minuscule 'problems'.

I really believe the most important thing is that we love God with all our heart, soul, and mind. Luke 10:27

And that we are loving and kind to each other. Luke 10:27

I really don't think the brand of your cell phone or a lion in Africa or the size of your house or whether you like the city or the country really matter very much. I want to know: Do you know my Jesus? And do you obey His Words?

That's what really matters, to me.

This brought me to tears, for your heart-cry is mine too. To be hidden in Jesus and obedient to His Word is what really matters. Oh, that God would keep our hearts from growing cold and self-centered. Enough of the excuses of being busy, cooling off, getting tired of Christianity...No, I must have Jesus all the time!
